Buffy’s New-ish Watcher
Summary: When Giles leaves Buffy in season 6, she ends up with a new Watcher, only he isn’t really new.

Warning: I don’t know; maybe language and innuendo somewhere along the way.

Timeline: Season 6, post-‘Once More With Feeling’ BtVS, same time for AtS.

I do not in any way shape or form ship B/S, but I like this au of OMWF and Tabula Rasa. So much more interesting than the original. Thank you

I don't really get how he went from a semi-decent guy in the first couple episodes of season 6 to telling Buffy she wasn't human anymore and belonged in the dark with him. Well, except for him being an evil, soulless monster.

I like this. It's nice to see someone put Spike down as the decent guy he was and should have remained. As for why he would say she belonged in the dark with him (see above mmooch reply^), it's really quite obvious. He was in love with her. He knew she didn't love him. He knew she was using him. He would say anything to get her to be with him by that point, especially when everybody he interacts with puts him down in one way or another every time he sees them. Except Clem. And he still swore he was still the Big Bad, even when he knew he wasn't.
