Do you ever wonder "what if"? And when you do, do you actually think about it realistically

I try not to think of alternative lifetimes. This one is sorta challenging enough.

I'm with LB. I can't play the what if game. That way lies madness.

I try really hard to live in my present, with an occasional glance towards the future, and an occasional story about the past.

Too much looking back and I stumble into melancholy. Why in the world would I do that, when life right now is good?

Think of it this way;

Per somebody, there are an infinite number of universes, where every "other" response in your life is played out. So this means, somewhere in the multiverse you're seeing lots and lots of glass unicorns. So for me? Somewhere it happened/is happening. Best to think about the current life than those infinite what-ifs. Let's face it, I was eaten by a shark in at least three of those universes, and you were probably hit by that piano.

On the other hand, this universe will never ever see me as a politico. Small mercies, eh?
