Mary is in on her knees in the greenhouse, carefully transplanting a few English daisies from out of the middle of the patch to the outskirts, making sure they all have room to breathe.

There's dirt on her face and hands, and she looks happy, as she usually does in a garden (and rarely outside of one.)

There's a creak as someone seats himself on one of the potting tables. No telling how he got in here without making any other noise.

Mary jumps, and looks up.

"Of gardening?" she asks, brow furrowed, and then adds, a little reproachfully, "I was always going to teach you."

"Never said you didn't, did I? I just don't have the green thumb like you do. I can water a houseplant, but it's not quite the same thing."

Duo shrugs and watches her. Then he smirks. "Maybe it's a girl thing."

"I know that is not true, because it was Dickon taught me. And Colin knows what to do as well."

Mary gives him a skeptical look. "It is not hard to care for plants. Are you sure you were trying properly?"
