I got an e-mail back from one of the action committees. I sent them a copy of the law and they e-mailed me back asking when the law was made, and if "her vet has determined her to be a pit bull

this is what I get... They use this law selectively... as is often the case in small towns... if there is any way that question can be cast on her parentage... as in "she looks like a pit but she's really a... mutt? Mixed breed?" then it's ok.

I think what they wanted was a law to keep nasty dogs out but they didn't think.

I hope Buffy is a mutt... maybe she could pass for a boxer or bulldog mix? (I tell everyone that Lucy is half boxer, which she very well could be -- I say it because boxers are known to be gentle dogs...)

If you do have to give Buffy away... meet me halfway and I'll take her. (I'm serious.) She and Lucy would be best buddies.

I just got e-mail back from the ontario group. And yep thats what they are doing. So long as a dog isn't paperd (she's not) they are claiming that they are "boxer mixes".
