Coraline!
Saw Coraline with Jackie Friday after work. I've been waiting years to see this movie, since I first heard it had started filming. And you know what...
It sucked.
IT DIDN'T, it was AWESOME!
Different enough to be interesting, but still the same story as the book. Visually, a very impressive movie, and the voice acting was good. There were only a few "forced" dialogue moments early on, and these are my only complaint, and a small complaint at that.
Madison will see this movie around age 8 or 10, so I'm wondering what kind of father I am, and what kind of childhood she will have. I think this movie (among other things) is going to mess her up. Maybe she'll grow up to be Neil Gaiman.
