Gorey is wonderful, and lucky I don't need to copy his style to capture the spirit which leaves me free to dream away in endless details without worrying it wouldn't be 'Gorey' any more :)

I'm continually impressed with your work. I love his little boots and the paisley detail at the bottom. I confess I know nothing about Edward Gorey, but this piece is just marvellous.

Thank you, this is about Gorey and this is one of his masterpieces, just keep clicking to see the children disappear :)

Ah! Finally, finally! I am able to put a name to the work. I've seen that abcdarium many times, but I had no idea who did it. Thank you for enlightening me, I think I'll have to search for some of his books.

Oops, now I understand what you mean, those aren't boots on the sofa (his mother doesn't allow it) but white silk socks, his slippers are almost invisible on the Persian carpet.

My admiration for Edward Gorey knows no bounds... Have you read Ascending Peculiarity? It is a delight from beginning to end...

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful piece of art with us.

Thank you, no I haven't read it, the Gorey books are very limited here but I'll try to get hold of it, I haven't seen a book by Gorey yet that I didn't like.
