What a lovely portrait!

I don't know how to put together a website either but what I do know is that you should be sure to find a webhost that is fanart/slash friendly. They aren't all. I believe Yukipon uses this webhost. http://www.populli.org/webhosting.shtml
You may want to ask her about that aspect of it. Good luck! :)

Thank you, you've got a good point there, but I might make the site 'Gen' only and stay away from the slash.

I wouldn't recommend books (price, quickly outdated) and suggest ye good olde internet, from the selfhelphtml site to the many other free webdesign pages that cover anything from beginner stages to specialist tips (just because I never fixed my own doesn't mean these pages are no good :))

:) Thank you, I'll see what I can find, I was hoping to find out more during my long train travels. Would there be easy imac do-it-yourself websites you know about? (without 'right-click' instructions etc.)

Sadly not, but I hope someone else can link you up!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which type of computer you're using. The code one must use (be it HTML, CSS, PHP or whatever) to design a site is not dependent on that, hence the fact that there are no PC-only sites or Mac-only sites.

You can find pre-made designs just about everywhere but Open Source Web Design is a good place to start. This may also help you figure out what kind of design you want to have.

As for online tutorials, HTML code tutorial is good though, depending on what you wanna do, may not be necessary reading. W3 Schools has good tutorials as well.

Wow, thank you :D

I'll be studying those links closely. I really don't know a thing about this but now at least I know where to begin ♥ thanks again!
