I think a purple sun would be rather pretty or black with purple around the edges. Could it be multiple colors or must I pick one color for the whole thing? Personally I'd find white with blue around the rim the most frightening. Though a brilliant magenta would just be wrong. Very very wrong. Humm ... creepy, but good imagry. Would make a good short story.
