Interesting photos, and a pretty userpic - it's nice to see you again around here ^_^
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. The picture with a plum tree and a note that it was a rainy day amazed me - it's so cold where I live, everything is frozen, covered in ice & snow. I almost forgot what's rain like.
Did you paint those flowers eventually btw?

Lucky you, I missed the freezing cold this winter, it's not the same without cold days.

I wish I could say how good it feels to see such beauty, especially when it's just in an average street and not in a famous garden. To see it together with a friend makes it even more special. I am starting to understand why artists like to use these blossoms.

I painted two of them, it takes a very long time to paint them because flowers are very hard to draw. Especially orchids whith their almost perfect geometric flower petals. It takes all the focus I can give to draw them right. I'll probably go back to draw some more, it feels really good to draw a nice line.

Oooh, I love the cherry tree picture most of all. I love cherry trees in blossom! These are beautiful photos. I look forward to more when you have them (no pressure, lol).

I love hearing about your time in Japan, even if I don't comment often (I've been sick and traveling, an icky combination). I like your moon like a smile, the bright plum blossoms, the rich feel of life in the flower shop, and the peace of the shrine. Not as good as being there, but nice nonetheless!

I hope you're better now, it's horrible to be sick and away from home. It feels nice to share my time in Tokyo, it can get very lonely in this city.

You're welcome, maybe it's unusually warm this winter? Except for today :) *shivers*

Yes, it in deed is an usually warm winter we're having in Japan. And they were saying on the news that today had been the coldest day this winter.

Thank you, and if you come to Japan, try to be here when the iris flowers or all the cherry trees are flowering :)
