LOVAHOLIC LOVATRONIC
I feel like I have not lived life until this moment. My life has begun. Thank you SHINee.

LOVAHOLIC LOVATRONIC
Maybe I'll give a mini album review, since I'm here fangirling. WELL ALRIGHT.
01. Up & Down [9/10]
Hot shit. I thought it would be annoying from the intro, but it grows on me. I really like this song. It's very pretty but also pretty badass. SHINee-style, with a bit of American hip hop.
02. Lucifer [over9000/10]
No joke, when I first heard this song I thought I was having a heart attack. It's definitely their best song to date, better than RDD by far. I cannot wait for the MV/perf/dance! Sounded a bit Suju-like at first, but not too much. Their voices in it are absolutely beautiful especially Jjong, Key and Taem. The chorus together is super nice sounding too. I love the line "lovaholic lovatronic" (if you couldn't tell). It's the best thing since "fantastic elastic." This is going to be my summer jam FOSHO.
03. Electric Heart [8/10]
Sounds nice, sort of similar to their older ballad songs with a Spanish flavor. I like it more the more I hear it, but it's not one of the best on the album.
04. A-Yo [10/10]
I heard this is "copied" from an English song, but I think it was in the way that SNSD's Run Devil Run was. Like, a demo was released previously but SM bought the song legally, so who cares. Either way, nothing can stop me from loving the fuck out of this song. Cuz it's amazing, period. Sounds sort of like American hip hop/pop (sort of like Sean Kingston style). One of my top faves from the album.
05. 욕 (Obssession) [10/10]
Written by Jjong. This song rocks. It's beautiful. It has a really nice mood to it and great vocals (of course). I want the translation of the lyrics cuz I'm sure they're just as amazing.
06. 화살 (Quasimodo) [9/10]
A nice ballad. Onew's voice sticks out to me in it for some reason. It fits very well. Lots of nice harmonization. Also, Key's voice in ballads has gotten much better throughout this album. It's gorgeous. I always think I'm going to skip this song to get to the faster ones but I can't bring myself to. It's too beautiful. Also, Jjong's got a reeeeeeally nice intense solo near the end that sends chills up my spine. Damn, that boy can sing.
07. 악 (Shout Out) [8.5/10]
Aside from the slightly off-putting screeching monkey sound at the beginning, I like this song as well. At first I thought it was another rap battle like Get Down (from Year of Us), but it's not quite that. It's like, a better version of that, with lots of rap as well as singing later on. It showcases Minho and Key's rap very well though, without leaving the other members talents out entirely. I might be biased toward this song though due to my intense love for Key's rapping.
08. WOWOWOW [8/10]
This song was disappointing to me if only because I expected it to be awesome with such a loltastic title like "WOWOWOW". It sounds like a Disney song. Sort of a mix between Hakuna Matata and Trashin' the Camp from Tarzan, so that kind of jungly feel. Not bad at all, just a little... gay. LOL
09. Your Name [7.5/10]
Very similar to their older ballad style, but with more lalalala's. Written by Onew. Their voices are amazing of course, but the song is sort of boring to me, compared the rest of the songs on the album. Sorry, leader :/
10. Life [9/10]
Gorgeous ballad. Gorgeous. It floored me when I heard it. Floored. I love their voices in it, they're very crisp and not hindered by much overly decorative music (in parts at least). Again, may I mention, that Key's voice is absolutely stunning in ballads on this album.
11. Ready Or Not [9.5/10]
This song is like two songs in one. The verses and chorus sound completely different, which is unfortunate because I love both of them. The verses have a Ke$ha quality to them (minus the poor vocal quality) while the chorus is very upbeat and poppy. From the teaser medley, I knew I would love this song, and I do. I am sort of bothered by the disconnect between then verses and chorus, but not enough to dislike either. I plan to blast this on my car stereo with my windows rolled down all summer.
12. Love Pain [10/10]
I love Key's intro (bias is bias, okay). Ballad style, but also electronic and a good beat, like I would still dance to it in a club somewhere. Vocals kill me in this song too, Jjong especially. Key has a lot of real singing parts in this too, which showcase his vocals very nicely.
13. 사.계.후 (Love Still Goes On) [10/10]
Another of my faves on the album. I was wondering why they keep putting this song on every album, but this version is SO amazing. The electronic sound and the rap at the beginning are perfect. The rest of the song continues in a similarly perfect fashion. Lots of rap, which is always good for me. I like the verses better than the chorus because they're very fierce while the chorus is a bit more melodic and pleasant. And Key's wonderful line (all about you love you i wanna be with you only you) is still there. And Minho's rap has improved, I think.
So there's my humble opinion. I will be supporting them by buying (at least) one copy of this album as well as (at least) one poster for the album. Also, by going to the SMTownLive World Tour in LA! :D
