In recent years the American populace has decided that the Christmas season isn't about Christmas anymore.  Everyone gets all up in arms whenever you wish someone a 'Merry Christmas' because *gasp*  They might not celebrate it!  So now the PC thing to do is to wish everyone a 'Happy Holidays' because it will then include everyone who doesn't

You know,

I take offence to that, as that Jesus was Jewish and had nothing to do with Christmas to begin with.

Xmas was originally a pagan holiday that stemmed, in part. from Mithraism and was bright into the Catholic church by Constantine when he converted.
