odds are youve got a driver issue.. check in your control panel > device manager and see if it shows a ? near the sound card.. do the diagnostics and repair things from there..
also it could be that somehow it got muted.. check your volume controls and get the panel that shows the sound levels and see if any of them are clicked on muted, or have the volume really low.
finally check your speakers and make sure they are operational.. reconnect all the wires and such.. the speakers themselves could have just gone bad. hook up a diferent speaker or a head set and see what happens
drivers it says are fine. volume controls etc grayed out .It acts like I dont have any speakers at all there, but the device manager says they are . all wires conected headphones dont works if I hook the speakers to my Ipod they work fine...any more hints ??
