[If you happen to wandering by Deck 12, you might hear slightly more ruckus than normal-- closer investigation will reveal a familiar insectoid alien digging through the luggage. After meeting and talking with Mordecai and a few others at the party, Chris is back to work. He's on Deck 12 sifting through... everything, actually. Going through each ( Read more... )

[ooc: I know it's open but I hope you don't mind this ^^;]

[Donatello had discovered the piles of luggage during recon on his first night and was heading back up that way, sliding instinctively along walls in an attempt to avoid detection. He couldn't stay for long - he needed to find Leonardo; that news about the cook had him worried for his brother - but there was something he wanted to see about the luggage first.]

[And...oh, hey, there was an insect-looking thing already there.]

[Donatello pauses, bewildered, then slowly creeps forward. The possession of a pouch and the way it's handling the items mean it's probably not a monster, but there was no harm in being cautious, right?] Uh...hello?

[[ooc: Eeee not at all, I've been looking for an excuse to thread with Don. :> ]]

[The Poleepkwa rears up slightly and turns around, his antennae twitching as he takes in the appearance of this new passenger. Then he ducks his head to focus on his comm and starts punching in a message, which he holds up for Donatello to read.]

Hello! I have not seen you around-- you are a new face, yes? Apologies that I have to type messages like this... my vocal structure does not allow me to speak English.

[Don perks up in interest at the message. His mind switching gears quite rapidly into ohhhh, fascinating which he rapidly wrestles under control.]

Oh, that's fine.

[he looks back up at the insectoid, smiling a bit] I just arrived here, yes. I'm Donatello.

[Don't worry Don, Chris is regarding you with just as much fascination. He's never seen a giant talking turtle before! ... Or even a normal turtle, actually. So to him you're perfectly normal.]

Good to meet you, Donatello. Is there something I can be of assistance with?

Do you talk, or are you another one of the ship's creatures?

[Samus spoke from the doorway, her tall frame nearly filling up the entrance. She wasn't approaching him too close. He looked far too much like a space pirate. She could feel her steely muscles tensing like cables, and every instinct within her told her to jump on it and break its limbs before it could lash out with its bioweapons.]

[Christopher looks up, sees the rather fierce-looking woman standing in the doorway, and then looks around. Well, guess she is talking to him. He cocks his head, then holds up his comm for her to read. Giving her the usual "hey sorry I can't speak English" disclaimer.]

My apologies that I must type messages like this... my vocal structure makes is physically impossible for me to speak English.

I assure you, I am not one of the "ship's" creatures.

[Great, something else to make her wish she had her suit, its computer would be able to translate him faster than she could learn the language.]

So you are a passenger? Where are you from? I do not recognize your species, though you are similar to a species of my universe.

[She clenched her fists as she thought of the space pirates. Her hatred of the mentioned species was more than apparent.]

... A reluctant passenger, yes. My home planet is an astronomical distance away from Earth, where my species' mothership... malfunctioned in atmosphere.

My human designation is Christopher.

[He's being a little on the cautious side--she doesn't seem overtly fond of aliens-- and hasn't actually approached her yet aside from coming close enough for her to read his comm.]
