The Music of the Night was ok, but the alternate version by Michael Crawford on one of my ripped CDs, in my opinion (key wordS!), is a extremely beautiful, soft, compelling song that Butler roughens a little too much. I still think they messed up The Phantom of the Opera, b/c they cut out parts and Rossum cuts up the original. Butler I think did an overall good job. However, I think that the Broadway version is really the only version anyone should see or listen to (kudos to my faves, Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford, especially to Brightman with the triple-or-so octave voice at the end of Phantom).
