Disclaimer: They belong to each other 8D They don’t belong to me, I’m making no money out of this, nor do I claim any of it to be true.
Summary: So much time has passed by, but that moment-the one he craves for and the one he doesn’t want to remember-feels like it has just happened.
Notes: So I watched
this video and couldn’t help but write something based on it, especially because of the scene where it looks like Hankyung and the girl are going to kiss behind that fan (and I’m sure you can all relate this to a famous Hanchul moment, right?).
This is specially for
gyaku, because I wouldn’t be writing this if it weren’t for her! Also, thanks to
ceirosken, since it was through her that I found the video, and thanks to my dear
bitmoo for beta-reading and giving me some support. ;3

Heechul stares numbly at the yellow fan in front of him. He’s been doing it for the past fifteen minutes, but it feels like hours, months or even years, considering the memories that have been replaying in his mind like a confusing, fast and tragic movie.
How many times did you actually kiss her?
He takes the fan in his hands and opens it in a fluid motion-certainly not as graceful as hers, he thinks-and counts the slats. He holds it against his face and tries to breathe, remembering when he used this fan for the last time. So much time has passed by, but that moment-the one he craves for and the one he doesn’t want to remember-feels like it has just happened.
How many times did you touch her breast?
He closes the fan and holds it above the metal bowl that he placed on the floor one hour or so ago, after watching just the first ten minutes of Hankyung’s performance in Star King-it was all he could bear before storming off to his bedroom and slamming the door shut behind him.
He takes the lighter that he found in the kitchen and holds it near the fan, turning it on and off repeatedly, as if entranced by the flames.
How many times did you move your hips against hers, together with hers, inside her?
His knuckles are white as his grip tightens around both the fan and the lighter, and he tries to breathe again.
Someone tries to open his door without knocking, and then, “Heechul shi?”
The two objects fall inside the bowl with a slightly loud sound, but Heechul doesn’t move yet.
How many times did you think of me?
He stands up and opens the door, not bothering to hide his expression for once. He doesn’t really know what it looks like now-sad? Upset? Betrayed? Flushed? All of them?
“What do you want?”
Leeteuk seems half surprised and half worried by the look on his face, or maybe it is the way Heechul has just spoken. “Kangin said he saw you taking the lighter from the kitchen and we need it to make dinner, but-Are you okay?”
Heechul just stares at him for a while, and then he turns around, gets the lighter and hands it back to Leeteuk. “Here. Now go away.”
He sees the way Leeteuk’s eyes dart to the bowl on the floor and back to the lighter, and he looks momentarily tempted to try and enter his bedroom. However, something in Heechul’s gaze holds him back. It doesn’t keep him from voicing his question aloud, though. “You were going to burn something…?”
Heechul’s lips curve into a bitter, distorted smile. “My heart.”
As Leeteuk opens his mouth to speak again, Heechul closes the door.
How many times did you fool me into thinking that you knew?
He takes the fan back from the bowl and starts ripping the slats apart, one by one, paying attention to the tearing sound it makes as it becomes trash in his hands.
He resents not being able to do the same to Hankyung’s heart.
