The story opens with Brienne of Tarth searching out Sansa Stark with the permission of Jaime Lannister.  She is driving towards the Vale to seek out Littlefinger, on information that may or may not be correct.  On the way she stops at the Trident/ Quiet Isle to inquire after Sandor Clegane whom she heard had been seen with a Stark daughter, where

I know-- thank you so much. I am actually having a sick day and fell asleep before I could respond to you. I think that you are totally right about what you are saying. Prescription pain killers are a really good idea. I do want, though, to make it seem that Littlefinger has just gone straight up overboard in recent times that is having a serious physical side-effect like track marks, cuts, bruises, something to indicate that he just lost it and went all Ahab on her and isn't thinking about the future anymore, either (or at least not in a logical way). I just want to be able to deliver her to the Hound's doorstep in a complete and total wreck of a state. That gives me so much to think of when re-routing my ideas. There is also the option that I don't have to actually name the drug; I think that you are right about prescription medication, but I am super attached to the idea of her shooting something up-- maybe when Brienne takes her she can't deal with someone who is withdrawing, panics, and scores her some heroine to shoot
