[[The house has always been fairly modest, and the bedroom is no exception; merely a double bed sitting in the middle of the room, covered in a royal blue doona duvet with matching sheets. Nothing more, really

[Maxie, on the other hand, has kept his gaze fixated on his rival; the room itself is nondescript, an initial glance telling him pretty much everything he needed to know to begin with, and as it is he finds Archie's behavior to be far more telling than anything this place is going to give him.]
Something like that.
[Despite the fact that there's no hesitation behind his words, his positioning is more than a bit awkward; he folds his arms loosely in a motion that would have been casual if he didn't unfold them again immediately, allowing his hands to fall back to his sides as he shifts his stance a bit

[[Archie fiddles with the curtains one more time before turning to face Maxie, quickly noting their proximity. It doesn't bother him as much as he thought it would.]]
[Maxie's expression flickers a bit before settling into a smirk. It's often a bit hard to tell whether he and Archie are truly on the same page or not - sometimes they are, sometimes they're not, sometimes Maxie thinks they are and Archie proves him appallingly wrong at the worst possible moment, and most of the time Maxie has given up altogether on trying to figure it out; at the same time, he finds himself disinclined to argue with a statement like that. And yet with that spark there comes another, and he's shocked to realise that it's excitement, anticipation, and when the two combine together it makes for a confusing combination.
He gives a small smile when his rival starts to play with his collar, and he has no time to widen it before Maxie's kissing him again, pulling him roughly forward into the embrace, and there's something about that domineering nature, normally so infuriating, that he this time finds appealing.
Despite having...quite a few notches on his bedpost, Archie finds himself practically unsure of what to do; it's different this time, there's something...more to it, so he settles with sliding his hands onto Maxie's hips, squeezing gently, encouraging the contact and just enjoying this kiss.
