I think the clause they changed that everything uploaded and posted will be property of facebook for all eternity, even after deletion.
This clause has been scrapped because of, understandable, massive out cry.

They are in the position to do so. And somewhat expected once a social network site grows. Even our holy LiveJournal.com pledged never to display any adds or banners, see where they are now (without AddBlockPLuss).
