Now, let's talk about Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I've just passed level 4 though, so I'm not that good yet... From what I heard before, going from level 4 to level 3 is relatively easy and we should not memorize Kanji that much. But going from level 3 to level 2 is REALLY difficult. The vocabulary, Kanji, and structures differ ( Read more... )

he~~~~ I don't care....it's still difficult for me lol

japanese is realllllly hard. But level 2 is difficult too!
my sensei said, that level 2 is the level where we should already known those kanjis.... and there're many kanji which don't have the explanation on how you pronounce it...

level 1 is how you learn their slank words.... and learn deeper how you use each words.... I mean, there're many words which have different function depends on your sentence...

arrrrghhhhhhhhhh........it's difficult~!!!!!!!

I agree.. we are finished if we can't read those Kanjis because we won't be able to understand the questions at all ...
ohh nooo... slank words?! i can't imagine how to study it. But, if we manage to pass level 2, it shouldn't be a big problem right?
not that I confident enough to pass level 2 at this rate D8

I forget it's either in level 2 or level 1.
So slank words and formal sentences.
we'll learn how come there 'gozaimasu' appears
like arigato gozaimasu
we think that's unite right?
but apparently there's source from where that comes from.

and when people say "oishii" and "umai" is have a different meaning....

and level 1/level2, we try to be like a translator.
what we do is translating and translating, we got tenses and kanji from level 3 right, and should've already remember ALL of it. Just some kanji will written in hiragana there. It's not the place to ask every tense you've forgotten in that level lol.

and level 1, we learn about ....errr...japan itself? I forget, but what i know is we'll learn EVERYTHING about japan when you reach level 1

it's hard giiiiiirllllllllllll~~~~~

ah yes, we must differenciate honorifics, formal, and plain Japanese also..
my sensei said that we can be a translator after we passed level 2. But we can find a job in embassy if we passed level 1! consider that... it is tempting XD
and, studying in Japan doesn't require passing level 1. Level 2 is enough. But we must take something like pre-university there and then we HAVE to pass level 1 test conducted there @__@

ohh, I see
why tricky..? D:

mocha_latte88 June 27 2009, 13:51:09 UTC
umm. tricky because someone will say something and then immediately correct it. If we don't hear them properly and focus on what they say only at the beginning, we'll choose the wrong answer for sure.
for example:
I have five spoons, three forks, and four plates! .....[insert whatever here] and then suddenly... Ah! one spoon is not here.
Question: what did the speaker buy?
now you know why I said it is very tricky D8

choukai is really hard indeed. But I think it would not that bad if we often listen to the way Japanese people talk XD

Believe me, level 4's Kanjis are very simple and easy to memorize! XD
I think you can take level 3 directly, because your Japanese is already good. You've gotten used to the choukai, vocab, and structures, right? 8D
