i can't believe how inexpensive the material is.. they have detailed packages for teachers for free, and if you want three or more its only a pound. and that book is only 4 pounds!
i'm writing a paper on how women's rights and environmental preservation are linked right now.. i'll have to read through this site. oh simmmm i am so split on all these issues these days, one day leading to one side and the other the next..

N and I have been bitching about all the hipsters talking about 'going overseas to help people', and 'bringing economic development'. Argghhh.
So many people bug N when she works at CIDA tables about how they want to work at CIDA, and how they are mad that they can't get a job with their international development degree. They are SUCH complainers, and get all mad at her.
I think they should get some other sort of expertise teamed with int. development such as being a doctor, nurse or an engineer that can build wells etc... Maybe that way they COULD actually bring something, instead of the government paying for them to have an 'interesting' vacation.
I once witnessed a group of "feminist" women working in economic development harass a lovely lady from Venezuela when she said she didn't even like the word development, that it was destructive.
Too bad we couldn't get all the students/professionals to get the point of that cartoon!!!
