Study study study. One week and two days until I write the registration exam. I'm not nervous, specifically, but it is weighing on my mind. I haven't spent hours studying every day and I'm feeling a bit unprepared. The test has something stupid like a 98% pass rate - if the morons I went to school with can pass it, I'm sure I'll be fine

What hotel are you staying at? How good of a deal are you getting?

Seestor and I went last fall and stayed at the Hotel Europa (off St.Catherines) and loved it, but we want to go again and try a different place.

Staying at Hotel Gault in Old Montreal. It got great reviews (both customer and media) and seems to have character - might be a little bit too contemporary chic for me, but Fella loves that. I know that Old Montreal is the most expensive spot to be, but I only have two days and really want to enjoy the old buildings and atmosphere.

The room is usually $375, but they're running a prepaid offer Sunday through Wednesday (which is perfect for us restaurant types) that gets you the room, plus breakfast, for $190.

This is the first time I've ever sprung for an expensive hotel and I'm really really excited about it :)
