Rant: 50 Shades of Grey

Usually I don't get this angry, but this: http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/71174290.html makes me sad. Someone posted an excerpt of Wide Awake in the comments and it is just ridiculous, I mean, describing orgasms as unicorns? I never read this fanfiction so maybe it's not so bad, but I KNOW there are a HECK of A LOT of HORRIBLY WRITTEN FANFICTION that this news makes me angry/disappointed. I've known that some authors that write fanfiction have been publishing their works before all this hype, but now that 50 Shades of Grey is popular, I'm expecting a lot more badly written, cliche, porn novels (let's face it 50SofG is porn). I can't believe 50 Shades of Grey "set the record as the fastest-selling paperback", beating Harry Potter. HARRY POTTER, PEOPLE!!! I guess the world with its growing technology and texting that ruins people's grammar and spelling skills that it's expected. I AM JUST DISAPPPOINTED. My friend is an English major and she read 50 Shades of Grey to try it out and it pissed her off. Lots of grammar mistakes and more than 500 "Oh My"s like the main character had nothing else to say or something. They have so much sex that it gets boring, the relationship is abusive, and the guy is messed up in the head. The main character is apparently some innocent virgin college literature student who never did anything sexual or owned a computer. SERIOUSLY?! and she meets some guy that doesn't even want a real relationship with her. He asks her to sign a CONTRACT FOR SEX in the beginning of their abusive "relationship". I WOULD RUN FAR FAR AWAY IF A GUY ASKED ME THAT. BDSM does have violence and dirty stuff, but, honestly, UGH. I have never read 50SofG because I know I'll be pissed off the entire time while reading it. I have read about 2 pages somewhere online a long time ago and I didn't like it. On this tv show I watched the other day, this mom asked if reading 50SofG would be good for her relationship...just NO...
