I remember those days...hanging out with the wrong people and doing the wrong things with them. I am so glad that I got away from all of that when I came to Seattle.

I hate oral presentations...the scare the crap out of me. Like you, I get jittery in front of large groups of people.

Just think that everyone is naked...

yup, #1 fear..that's crazy! its weird, i dont mind speaking from my seat but once i get up to the front it's a whole different story!...hey you play the guitar in front of crowds, right? how does that make you feel? nervous?

I was nervous at first... but I learned to enjoy it and feed off the energy. I think I'd still get nervous if it was about 3,000 people.

Wow, I didnt' know you were 26, 27 soon!!! You look young, I thought you were about my age.

augh, I dread speaking in front of the class. And the bad thing is, my face gets red REAL easily...it's so embarrasing.

wow, we have a lot of similarities about the past. anyhow, i hated public speaking as well. don't know if you guys had it in grade school, but we had SPEECHES every year. you know, where every student picks a topic and speaks on it for 5 min straight! UGHH! hated it. the picturing naked ppl thing never worked for me. by the time you read this you will have completed your presentation. hope everything went well!

yes, i messed up my scholastic endeavors when i was in my early twentys! i keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason and if it didn't happen that way then i wouldn't where i am now. i just can't shake this feeling that my parents are somewhat dissapointed in me though... you know, the typical old school mantra of study hard and go to university, be something "respectable"... blah blah blah. never really worked for me. i know i was partial to blame but at least i know what i want to do in life now, ya know? now my next problem is how to get to cali! ;P

i wish i could give you advice on the speeches but i can't. i get super nervous when i speak in public. actually, sometimes i'm good and i wonder how the hell i did it. then there's other times where i'm like.. uh... all i can say is good luck and take a deep breath. if all else fails then just pee your pants. that's always a good excuse =P

ha, i am exactly the same way. my speech turned out really good and the professor said i did a great job so i was happy. i was hardly nervous during the presentation, i think it's more the anxiety of waiting to go.

yeah, i think all asian parents want their kids to excel in school and become something great. im glad you know what direction your life is going in. that is important. some people just sit around trying to figure it out, and they never do. so, are you trying to figure out the master plan to get over here!? have you been looking for a job here? are your parents supportive of you wanting to come here?

It's all about the asian genes. I'm 30 and i still like like i'm 24. It sucks when i'm at work because i have to try that much harder to make an impression, but other than that, it rocks!
