nothing really note worthy...

So I think I'm mostly weaned off of Effexor. Dave has successfully weaned off of it as well. I totally hate the dizzy feeling that I get after a few days of not taking it, so I've started taking the capsule apart and taking half of the contents on those dizzy days. And those days are spacing out. It was an experiment that I hope I'll not have to ( Read more... )

Yes, I'm afraid I don't actually have your email. Could you drop me a note at nursemonica@gmail.com? Thanks.

I'm really excited about what God wants to do with you and Dave regarding planting a church. I will pray more toward that.

That's so cool that your boys were born on your parent's birthdays! I didn't know that. Happy celebrating!

What colors have you painted your rooms so far? And as long as you love being in your home, who cares what anyone else thinks.

All earth colors, shocking, I know. :) Our dining room is a dark brick red, the living room is a deep gold on the bottom, cream colored trim, and lighter, mustard gold on the top. The family room is a dark tan with white trim, and the brick around the fire place is dark copper. Our room is "green tea leaf," Sam's room is light celery green, Nathan's room is the color of classic pooh's fir, and the main bathroom is sorta earthy blue. The last thing I did was the upstairs hallway, which is beige with white trim. I'm planning to paint our guest room a dark brown with cream trim and taupe for the closet door. Our downstairs bathroom, I think will be yellow, and the basement a similar green to that of our bedroom. Then there's the downstairs hall and a little laundry/craft room that I haven't considered yet. I'm basically painting just about every pickin' wall of the house!! The kitchen and entry way are the only things I'm planning to leave. They're white with a tasteful little green stenciled border. Wow, that took longer to describe ( ... )

Sounds beautiful. I'd love to see it sometime. After having just painted our living room/dining room exactly a year ago (after stripping layers and layers of wallpaper - we found ten different patterns in all - and replastering the walls) I'm actually wanting to repaint to warm things up a bit. Considering a nice warm yellow called Dipped in Honey. And I'm trying to find something for the bathroom to compensate for the PEACH tile - I'm thinking a shade of brown. Aren't older homes a joy.

Speaking of older homes, I've been meaning to talk to you about my sister in law, Joy. She and Matt live outside Axtell, NE pastoring the Keene Evangelical Free church in that community. I'm sure you will meet her sometime at some function, but the parsonage where they live is over a hundred years old. They have three girls and they're a lot of fun. Anyway, if you ever meet her, you'll have something to talk about!
