My mother is a school psychologist for the town of Clinton, CT's public schools. One of her good friends is a third grade teacher for a public school in New Haven, CT. The third graders were given a word list in their Language Arts class that was a list of words that demonstrate the "long E" sound( as in weasel, or piece).
