Describe your personality:
I am an INTJ (introversion, intuition, thinking, judgement). I don't know what else to say because I'd rather not pressure myself to live up to any claims made early on in the application.
What kind of person would you project yourself to be for the games?
Due to the fact that I am rather introverted in the first place, I probably wouldn't be able to do much more than seem shy and nervous. However, I would definitely want to put my intelligence across. It's my most valuable asset, it really is.
Positive traits:
Intelligent, creative, independent, driven, organized, opinionated (although not vocal-- and therein lies the problem), hard working, loyal when loyalty is necessary
Negative traits:
Introverted, sarcastic, insecure, perfectionist, procrastinator, never sleeps (due in part to procrastination)
Likes:
Reading books (all sorts of books, I've never had a preference), music, writing, playing the piano, horror movies, researching diseases and serial killers, olive green, tomatoes, oranges, coffee, friends.
Dislikes:
Ignorance, prejudice, rabid fans, spiders, Friday
Best quality:
My determination, I guess.
Worst quality:
Everything else
My shyness.
What do you value most?:
My closest friends.
THIS OR THAT
Optimistic or Pessimistic:
It varies from situation to situation. My pessimism isn't necessarily 'real'-- I say pessimistic things as a way of joking.
Reserved or Outgoing:
Reserved.
Trusting or Cynical:
Cynical.
Impulsive or Cautious:
Cautious.
Adventurous or Homey:
It depends upon the situation again, and the group. When I'm by myself I'm much more adventurous than when I'm in a group with people I don't know.
Stoic or Openly Emotional:
Situational, again. I've been told I'm hard to read. However, I also know that I'm openly emotional with certain people.
Selfish or Selfless:
Both.
Leader or Follower:
Leader. Not the typical sort, but I do have good leadership skills that I've used from time to time.
Calm or Temperamental:
Both.
SITUATIONAL
A close friend/relative of yours has been selected for the Hunger Games! How would you react?
I would weigh the options. No matter how much I loved that person, I would weight the options. Chances are I would volunteer, as I don't view my life as being particularly valuable, but I would still consider not volunteering.
You find a fugitive from another District on your territory. What would you do?
Determine if they were a threat to me, help them the best I could whilst attempting to make awkward chitchat.
How willing would you be to kill if you were in the Games? What if it was your best friend?
I would kill if I had to, although killing my best friend would be another thing entirely (for one thing, I don't have 'best friends'). I would try to form an alliance with them, and hope that someone from another district killed them before I had to.
It's your first day in The Hunger Games and everyone is gathered at the Cornucopia. You spot your weapon of choice right out in the open, but you know there's going to be a bloodbath. What do you do?
Knowing me, I wouldn't react fast enough. I'd run over eventually, sure, but if what I wanted was valuable enough to get snatched up quickly, I would just run away and hope to grab something off a dead competitor later.
What would your weapon of choice be?
A bat. I know it sounds brutal, but as someone who has had experience in softball (and let's just pretend that softball exists within the districts), it would give me an advantage. Or something I could throw.
A fellow tribute has approached you asking for friendship, what would be your first reaction?
Tentative alliance, ready to defend myself until they've shown some kind of trustworthiness
You're hiding up a tree when you spot the Career Pack coming and they're below you, although they seem to not notice you yet. What would you do?
Why am I up in a tree. I cannot climb trees.
If they spotted me, I would try to fight them off. In the end, though, I'd end up dead.
You're starting to get thirsty and you suspect that there won't be another water source up ahead. You have no choice but to head back to the first lake you're spotted. Would you risk being spotted by other tributes to go back?
I'd go during the night, but I would definitely head back.
Your stomach has been empty for quite some time now and you're starting to feel tired from the lack of food. You spot some berries nearby but they look foreign to you. What do you do?
Try to find some way to feed them to another competitor. If they don't die, then it's all good.
You've won the games! What do you think led you to your victory?
Miracles. Chances are, if I were in the Games, I would go in with the intent of dying.
What's the most important thing for you when you're in the Games?
Not getting killed within the first day.
THE BOOKS
Have you read The Hunger Games? If so, did you enjoy it?
I would assume I've read The Hunger Games. I would also assume I enjoyed it, otherwise I wouldn't be here.
What was your favorite part?
My favourite part... I don't know which to choose. I feel like the scene at the reaping was probably my favourite, because of the tension, and the same goes for the scene at the very beginning of the first book. Or the scene in Mockingjay when they've figured out the arena is a clock.
Who was your LEAST favorite character?
I don't have a least favourite that's not a 'villain'.
Anyone you prefer not to get? (Please limit this to 2 characters and give valid reasons why you're not like them)
Go nuts.
Anything else?
