Realising...

I really should write in my LJ more, but don't because I worry that anything I may have to say is far too ordinary and boring. Which then makes me feel ridiculous. I don't know when I became so bloody fucking worried about what other people think of my writing, or what I have to say. I'm not sure if it correlates with the "tiredness" that I'd been ( Read more... )

I can empathise with you on this. The fear of appearing boring, the inevitable depression and retreat which comes from setting deadlines. I came to the same decision about the ambivalent approach. I still worry about the reader to some extent, but it feels good to just push through it, type it all down, hit "POST" and go about my day.

Hope to read more.

You really nailed down the fear and bordering apathy really well.

Thank you. I hope to write more. And in some way in writing about wanting to write more, I'm hoping that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy of sorts. If anything, my desire to live up to expectations will make me want to write more! (I'm such a nut case!)

Words... If you need them, write.

I personally think, *One* should always write for *one*self (Unless *one* get paid for it ?). If *one* needs an audience *one* should (Better ?) be a comedian/be broadcast on TV.

So...

Write and be.
Be and write.
Don't bother...

Lips don't lie.

And don't forget you're beautiful (Yes I'm referring to that).

PS : happy birthday to me.

Wow, you just encapsulated how I feel about posting: as if "who should care about this?" I just feel uninteresting and ineloquent when I step up to the plate.

Happy New Year, by the way -- we should get together and catch up!
