My allergies are killing me and I’ve got a headache that feels like the top of my head is going to explode. I’m still dizzy, although that’s a little bit better.

Talked with Dr. Dan Wednesday about the vertigo and possible high blood pressure. He’s not too concerned about the blood pressure. For one thing, he says the finger things tend to read high ( Read more... )

I had vertigo for a while and I gave up caffeine and cut back on salt. It made a world of difference. I hope it helps you, too, if you can pull it off. I know it's not easy, especially the caffeine part.

I work graveyards, so I'm finding it impossible to give up coffee, although I am cutting back and making a concerted effort to increase my (healthy) hydration! Salt's another problem, but I am trying.

It's really good to hear from you. You ever notice other people's family drama is usually more interesting (and less stressful) than your own?

As for allergies, I read in some magazine at my allergist's office that global warming is leading to an increase in pollen and thus a worsening of allergice reactions. Joy. My own have been pretty darn bad this Spring, to the point where twice I had to request whatever it is that makes the swelling go down in the tubes in my ears. I hate ear aches as the pain seems exceptionally bright and sharp. Not to mention dizziness becomes a factor once they start acting up.

Almost everyone I know is having allergy problems this year. Here in Colorado it's been unusually wet, so I think the molds are high.

I don't envy you the ear-thing...horrid, ear aches are!
