I'm going to have to give a big "boooooo" to the maddux jersey. After Auburn, the first thing I learned to hate after moving to Huntsville was the Braves. Everyone knows Maddux's hayday was with the Braves. The man bleeds red and you should not support him. And, what makes Maddux any less mercenary than the other guys?

To quickly clear the confliction up, you could always go with '37' I don't know enough about baseball to know who wears the 37, probably a bunch of shitty players.

pros: cool name, cool number
con: he is a relief pitcher, and not even a closer. maybe if he was eric gagne or mariano rivera, but not a middle reliever.
