Write Off: Queer Seattle Slam and Spoken Word @ Cafe Deux Soleils
sat 4/23

Dude, in Seattle? I didn't hear about that one yet.

Also (and you can delete this soon as you see it), man I wish you could enable (however inane) responses to posts like the one just below, 'cause I can totally feel ya on that, firstly: writing poems about oneself, they're usually branded list poems or "I Am" poems, and they come naturally. When I tire of writing about myself, I make an effort to do something frivolous on slinkies, or whatnot. Secondly, about feeling like a cumrag sometimes with the sex work. Though I *really* don't know why you'd use your own name! If you do. Or if you go into character or be yourself. See, this is where the inanity kicks in...

no, i don't know what the deal is with calling it a "queer seattle slam" because it's not a slam, it's just a show, i'm assuming the poets involved are all active in the seattle slam community though...?
at work we actually just got okayed the other day to use different names. i don't know if i'm going to bother changing mine, cuz i'll only be here another couple of weeks but i don't know what i'd change it to. gertrude maybe?
i'll repost with the comments enabled when it's finished. i didn't actually realize i'd made it public. :p

Just to make it sound cooler.
Alright, I thought about bringing it up since I think you mentioned both topics before in other posts.
