First REAL Post of 2007....

Well... I'll give you an update in chronological order starting from Christmas until the current point in time. Everyone knows that I think Christmas sucks and it brings me little joy, but that doesn't stop me from giving presents to OTHER people whom I feel deserve it. For Christmas I got my mom Tivo with a dual-tuner so she can record two ( Read more... )

dude, if you get a mustang that is pristine condition, you gotta let me drive it just once to see how a good sports car feels

That can be arranged... only if you can drive a stick shift and know what I mean by "engine braking" and "heel-and-toeing".:)

Then you'd just have transmission problems.:)

I remember dumbass southern "rapper" David Banner had a 2003 Viper SRT...... burnt out the clutch in a matter of weeks. With all that damned money he made he could have atleast paid for some race car driving lessons... or hired a fucking chaffeur!!!

And they probably could have been avoided... and your Mustang probably would have been a tad cheaper and more fuel-efficient with the stick. When I did the online customization for my Mustang, it would make the car $700 cheaper to go with a standard transmission...... but I wouldn't want a Mustang or any powerful muscle/sportscar any other way.

yea, i've seen that list a couple years ago, and you & everyone else i know in this world know how fucked up that list is when EDDIE FUCKING VAN HALEN is listed at number 70. SEVENTY. no, not even SEVENTEEN where it would still be an insult, but 70. come on, if we round up 100 random people off the street for this poll, you know more are gonna say EVH than goddamn Jerry Garcia. Fuck, the only Jerry Garcia moment i could think of is in Half Baked where he came out of that necklace and beat up Samson the drug dealer, and it wasn't even really him! and funny how the guy listed the 2 guitarists for Sonic Youth as a team somewehere, yet for Metallica they didn't put James Hetfield who wrote all the riffs and only listed Kirk Hammett which by himself his leads aren't that impressive anyways. alright, sorry for the rant, but this list always got me like that :-P.

i still haven't seen Talladega Nights, do you think i should rent it or just go ahead and buy it?

I was getting ready to toss my laptop out the window after viewing this because now the screen is tainted with such pixelated diarrhea. When I saw some pioneering/influential guitarists either really low on the list or not even mentioned.... it just left a really bad taste in my mouth. Randi Rhoads near the bottom, Eddie Van Halen near the bottom (haven't these muthafuckas ever hear "Eruption"?!?! One of the greatest solos ever!), Tony Iommi who was one of the guys responsible for the early sound of Heavy Metal this side of Led Zeppelin near the bottom, Les Paul who only has a string of Gibson guitars NAMED after him isn't even in the top fucking 5!!! Jake E. Lee not mentioned, Dave Mustaine not mentioned, Dimebag Darrell the fucking fret burner and whammy bar master not on the list! They need to hear the solo on "Floods" or "Cowboys from Hell"! Not too many people are Slash fans but I think he's an awesome guitarist! He's cool as shit to me because he's not that melodic or alternative guitarist... he's that bad ass hard rocker ( ... )

wow, man your knowledge on my kind of music is way better than i expected, so let me paraphrase Snoop Dogg from "Starsky & Hutch" when he said "you just went up a notch in my book. now you're at notch one" :-P. gotta give you lots of credits for bringing up Jake E. Lee, it's like most people would either connect Ozzy to Zakk Wylde or Randy Rhoads. i mean, Randy Rhoads quit Quiet Riot to join Ozzy, and then Jake E. Lee quit Ratt to replace him later but people seem to forgot that he exist or something :-D. anyways, this was written about that list when it came out 3 years ago, it wasn't saying anything new but you should read it anyway: http://www.metalsludge.tv/home/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=38

also, most people hate Gn'R's cover of "Sympathy" but good to know that i'm not the only one that like that song! :-D
