as for live action anime, SPEED RACER is a month away,
the script for AKIRA has been approved and is rumored to be starring and directed by Leonardo Dicaprio. There is also versions of DRAGON BALL (starring Chow Yun-fat), APPLESEED, and Hellsing in the works. and yeh, i dont think the EVA thing will ever happen. But we can dream can't we??

Hell yeah, the music is so PAINFULLY 80s too! I had a bunch of the M.A.S.K. toys! I even had the condor (motorcycle/helicopter) and Matt Trakker's red Camaro that turned into a jet and I used to have him shoot down Starscream!:) Also I saw some high school pics of my friend Tracie when her hair was dyed pink and I was like, "LOL! Oh shit! Tracie you are outrageous... truly, truly, truly outrageous!:) Where are the Holograms???"

And I think I'm gonna catch Speed Racer once it's available on HBO or something. Though I do enjoy cars... it doesn't look like anything that would interest me. Hell I didn't even like the live-action Initial D movie... there were too many things that deviated from the original story just like Spider-Man 3 did! For instance, Takeshi Nakazato hates drifters and RWD which is the main reason why he's adamant about using a grip driving style with a 4WD Skyline GT-R... but in the movie he was drifting around every corner! I'm sure Akira, Appleseed, and Hellsing would be cool in a live-action format
