You are so uber-organized. I could probably use a daily-dozen, but it wouldn't work for me. On the days I couldn't accomplish all of them I would start into self-deprecating behavior about what a failure I am. Not good. I've recently read The Four Agreements, and I work with #2 - Always do your best--whatever that is at the time. That seems to feel right for me
( ... )
Honestly -- I'm not so much uber-organized as I am pig-headedly persistent. The daily dozen is all about acknowledging the stuff I do do every day. Stuff that makes my life easier.
And, in the interest of full disclosure, I am not clogging anymore. When Ch-- took up karate, I decided to pursue belly dancing which satisfies some different needs and doesn't require such a long commute (40 minutes) to classes. The belly dancing I plan to do at home. Which leads into the second part of my denial -- I am not making much progress on the dancing ... or the writing.
All that said, I thank you for your reality check. I know what I do is good and valuable. I just wish it paid better or would get me a BMW :)
Well, actually I wish it would get me a brand new hybrid, but the idea is the same.
So good to hear from you! I've been journaling less these days as well, and perhaps for the same reasons. Things began to feel repetitive, there are only so many times I feel that I can say "I worked at church this morning then came home and knit." or "I subbed this afternoon and then vacuumed." Blarg. I don't really know how my life can feel repetitive and yet without routine at the same time, but it does, and I haven't been writing that much about it. Too bad.
Anyways, I echo what poets_hand says above, you are doing so much and should feel proud of what you are accpmplishing! I feel grateful to get to read your musings and share our journalings :)
Actually, I'd noticed that you had slowed down with your entries. I have come over to your journal a couple of times in this last month or two because I wasn't happening on your stuff on my infrequent forays into my friends page.
Thanks for being a sweetheart ... and for getting what I mean.
Do you have DIY network available to you? We just bought the smallest possible satellite package (for the winter) and I found a show called Knitty Gritty on DIY. It's quirky and fun if a little silly. They knit boots last week :) Me? I just watch while I'm folding laundry or dusting but it makes me want to knit something fierce.
Oh you're very welcome :) I hope to write more frequently in the coming weeks, once I convince myself I have something to write about.
And knit boots? o_O I have seen Knitty Gritty a few times, it was a bit ... odd for my tastes. I will probably watch again soon though, a knitter and author I know of is going to be on the show, but I don't yet know when.

Still, you are awfully kind. Thank you.
