Dearest Victora,
I fear this is rather a foolish letter, as I am writing to apologize for my ong nelect of you on the eve of my departure. A bit of a business has come up, forcing me to leave, but I shall return as quickly as possible. Still, I pray you accept my apology for being so long away. Perhaps upon my return you would allow me to take you out to dinner?
