haha, first to comment! Ahem...well. OMG! Just Oh my effing God! This chapter made me feel sad for Kitty, kinda angry at Bobby and incredibily sad and angry on behalf of John. I mean...there are no words. Excellent chapter and please, please, please update soon!

Thanks for the first comment! ;) I'm glad you felt bad for Kitty. Being that this fic is entirely from Rogue's point of view, she's not come out very sympathetic up til now. But, even though I personally dislike her character, it's not like she's all that bad. Which was exactly the point of her part of this chapter. So...yeah. Glad that came through.

Glad the twist caught you by surprise! I've been working like crazy to keep it secret. A few people actually guessed near the beginning, until I threw that bit with Logan in during chapter four. I didn't even tell my beta, since she was sort of my test person. She didn't guess, so I figured you all would be too. Glad to see it worked out that way.

OK, call me dumb--the obvious isn't coming to me today. I know Rogue figured out something. What I don't know is *what* she figured out. Could someone enlighten me, please?

You're not dumb at all :) . The final section is purposefully shadowy, and I fully expected several people to remain confused on it. Everything will be revealed next chapter, and I'm sure it'll be a lot more effective if you want to wait til then. But, if you'd prefer not, just check out the comments and it should give it away very easily. Or reply if you want it spelled out before the chapter, and I'll sum it up for you.

Well, a few hours after I posted my comment, I returned to read the comment right below mine, which explained it. (And I had a "duh" moment at not understanding the veiled references, even from early on.) And now I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter! This story is fascinating . . . How soon will it be up? *g*

And, I try to keep it about two weeks between updates depending on how quickly my beta can get back to me. So...something like a week or so. Probably a bit longer.

And Bobby is an asshat for not realizing that John wasn't using his fire. Like he really thought he was winning the fight while it was "fair".

No way would Bobby win a fair fight. And, as if John would willingly engage in a fair fight anyway. Clueless...all of them. ;)

Bobby's a twit. Poor John...I think he needs some comfort...in the form of Rogue please.
And after Kitty's little speech I kinda want her and Rogue to be friends again. I felt really sorry for her.
