Tenth Deduction [Accidental Voice/Action for Housemates]

[modernholmes]

[Conan tosses and turns restlessly in his sleep, obviously struggling against a bad dream. All of a sudden he bolts straight up with a half-strangled scream and falls out of bed.  He doesn't even notice his hand knocking his communicator onto the floor.]

RAN!

[He looks around frantically for a moment, then slumps back to the ground.]

[When Luke answers, he sounds like he's just woken up.]

Conan?

Are you all right? You...[Yawn.] You were yelling.

[Voice]

It's fine, Luke. You should go back to sleep.

[Voice]

[He rubs his eyes, still groggy, but now he's awake so a firm 'go back to sleep' wasn't going to cut it.]

But you were yelling.

Did you have a bad dream?

[Voice]

[modernholmes]

It wasn't a pleasant one. [Conan's voice sounds faintly strained.] But it is nothing to worry about.

Omg Conan he is sleeping right next to you! His first night back in a couple days!]

Somethin' wrong, Kudo? [Besides the obvious.]

[modernholmes]

[Conan stands stiffly next to the bed, not looking directly at him.]

Don't worry about it.

[westdetective]

Ya woke up screamin' an' ya want me ta not worry about about it?

[modernholmes]

It was only a dream. [And one he'd had many times before. He was lucky the old man was such a heavy sleeper.] That's hardly something worth worrying about.

[waytoopatient]

[ AKSLDFLGF SUDDENLY AWAKE.

Ran hears that scream loud and clear through the communicator and from down the hall, and aside from hearing her own name, she also recognizes who is screaming it. She's sitting up in bed now, breathing heavily as she grabs her communicator from the nightstand thing beside her.

...well she hadn't been sleeping particularly well, anyway. She didn't mind. ]

C-conan? Was that you?

[ .....she already knows the answer, but, well. Leave her alone, she's like half awake. ]

[modernholmes]

R-Ran-neechan?

[She heard that? This was not good. If there was one thing he did not want her worrying over it was his dreams.]

[ ....it would have been pretty hard for her not to hear it, really. She lets out a sigh, though she's not sure if she's relieved at hearing his voice, or more worried, hearing it startled like that. ]

Y-yes, it's me. I'm here--is everything okay?

[modernholmes]

[She never heard him at home. Though that might be thanks to Uncle's snoring.]

I'm okay. I just had a bad dream.

Of course! I just had a bad dream. But I'm okay now.
