After writing nothing here for four years, I return for the sake of mere curiosity and miraculously remember my password. To be honest, my life is much the same as it was in 2017, except for the ongoing pandemic and the constant boredom and depression of having no work or social engagements. Had the distressing news today that one of my high school teachers committed suicide. I don't know what to do with this information. Years ago, I knew him fairly well. Sewing Up A Storm
I have been working on a new early 19th century waistcoat and frock coat for my husband. They'll both be done by the end of this week when we have a JASNA event as well as the annual George Washington Ball. I'm very happy with how they look so far, and I promise pictures! -

I wonder if there's a good reason I didn't become a nun after all. I wonder if it wasn't just me disobeying God, as I've thought. Maybe I can do more for my cause outside the convent than I could have done inside it. I'll have to be a lot braver, though, and I'll have to learn to live with rejection and agony a lot better than I do.
