sorry about the posts from earlier, i'm a lot better now. Basically, some shit went down that didn't need to happen and it just sort of turned into a miasma of self loathing and i was in a pretty dark place for a bit, moreso than my usual "down" points. I tend to boast optimism as a mindset and 85% of the time i try to see the bright side of things

save up more before you go? my mom always told me that one of the better things you could do in terms of financial reserves is to have enough for six months of unpaid habitation.

I dunno how expensive it'd be for you to live where you're going, but it's just one of my favorite pieces of advice from her.

makes sense. I feel like i have enough for that amount of time but i could always save up more

i'm not really a frugal spender so i feel like if i suddenly left and was job searching for a few months i could pull it off, it's more a matter of if i'm living somewhere with a high rent and how that would cut into finances

Same boat here e.i. stuff as much cash away as you can, be thrifty and keep updating/ tweaking your resume. I've got a good long while before I can go anywhere and I've been saving up already for a while, the only advice I can give in terms of not letting it get to you is to distract yourself as much as possible and keep yourself busy. I know how frustrating an experience it is feeling stuck in the same place (oh BOY do I), the only way I keep myself sane is talking to friends and setting myself targets and tasks to accomplish, short and long term.

problem is that most of my distractions have to be online and the rest of the time i'm pretty much reminded that i'm stuck in delaware

i do have trips coming up and whatnot but basically yeah i'm just gonna keep saving and keep busy
