or, if you ARE single, just speak from your experience :)
I'm single, 23 and hoping to meet the right guy. But, I also don't want to compramise my modesty standards for the "dating scene." What did you ladies do/are doing?
I ask this to stirr up some discussion because I have been noticing that the majority of posters *seem* to be in relationships (married, dating, whatever) and that some of ya'll got together before the onset of your modesty codes. So, for those of us that are modest and single, how are we suppose to meet/attract/date men?
I'm not super-strictly religious, so dating is an option for me. I want to be seen as attractive (sexy even?) on some levels. Does anyone struggle with this? Does anyone struggle with the fear that in the pursuit of modesty you are off-putting any male attention that oculd lead to a healthy relationship?
I would like to get married and have a family one day. And, in a culture that is sex obssessed, to be someone that makes strides to come across as less sexual than the girl next to her, I'm just a little nervous that I'll never be noticed (and then part of me says that any guy that doesn't pay me attention because i don't wear short-shorts isn't worth it, but still...)
So, ladies, advice? Suggestions? Words of wisdom for the single and seeking?
