I really do find it amazing that in the last 5 months, the 3 worst songs ever to be recorded have all become hits:
1. Bad Day by Daniel Powter
2. Do I Make You Proud? by Taylor Hicks
3. Stars are Blind by Paris Hilton

And does it get better? My friends, NO, it gets worse...because Jessica Simpson has a new album coming out. "A Public Affair" might be

The Taylor Hicks song is really, really bad. It actually does sound like a bad cheesy wedding song, only with his voice it becomes the drunk dad singing karaoke at the wedding. The generic pop songs that the Idol winner has to sing could kill just about anybody's career, even someone with a voice as good as Kelly Clarkson's has to go through the period of recording garbage like "A Moment Like This." I just thought, for sure they'll recognize that for Taylor Hicks to be successful he needs to record Michael McDonald/James Taylor-style "lite rock," probably something that sounds like it should've come out 20 years ago. But it's not a good sign when your sappy song elicits no emotional response from me except a minute of laughter at how bad it is
