It's been a looong ass week. Between post-partum election ennui and the absurdity that is my job, I need to do something for myself.

A block from the pub, Harry leaned against the cool stone of the darkened bank, wanting to Apparate but knowing he needed the fresh air. Ron leaned, too, but more on Harry than the wall.
“Fuck, Harry, why don’t we just go home and meet this thing head on?”

“…like a brother…” she says to someone, shooting me a look that’s not brotherly at all.
Forcing me to picture Aunt Muriel in her night dress before I can get up to go use the loo.

“Weddings are loathsome affairs,” Draco complained. “Beginning with the blathering emotion and unflattering clothes and finishing with everyone pissed and on the pull.”
Pansy rolled her eyes, but smiled nonetheless. Then she leaned into him in strategic places. “Maybe if you’re lucky someone will back you into the cloak room.”
“I could be persuaded.”
