I know you are. I don't feel happy about it either. There is just so much hate right now on both sides that it just makes me sad.

I'll never understand why a heterosexual couple thinks their marriage is somehow less valid if a homosexual couple is allowed to call their union the same thing. People can be so mean. :(

It's been very difficult for me to gather my thoughts on this, except that I just can't understand. I literally cannot understand why on earth people care and I cannot understand how you read a statement that says I support denying someone the right to...and then click 'yes'.

One of the best people in my life is gay. To me, this is personal.
