I think a school wide capture the flag event, pitting each house against each other would be a lot of fun.

From the HAVE WE HAD THIS BEFORE files: some sort of enchantment that changes the way things get written/appear in the journals. The best thing I thought of was the text colour or style changing based on something -- maybe the emotions or intent of the writer? It could either be a complicated code or just one or two things. (E.g. lies come out in smaller font, anything in green was difficult for the writer to admit, etc.)

Personally I think this would work better as a longer event. I'm not sure if it would have a lot of impact in a day or two, and given enough time some people might actually be able to figure things out, which could be entertaining.
