Personality: Gamzee has two distinct sides to his personality. On the one hand (and how he presents most of the time), he’s a very laid back, sweet, whimsical kind of guy. He loves his friends, he likes nothing more than kicking back and relaxing or listening to music and making up his own raps. He’s weird, sure, and he tends to say some funky stuff, but he’s essentially a harmless guy who’s pretty easy to get along with, and who never seems to get mad, even when people are insulting him to his face. He gets excited about even little things and bits of magic, and has a tendency to call anything he doesn’t understand immediately a “miracle”. He also tries to see the bright side, or silver lining to everything around him. He’s enthusiastic, and can talk for hours about the things like interest him

Canon Background: Gamzee is a troll who grew up, like all other trolls, on Alternia. His lusus (a kind of guardian monster assigned to each troll to raise them) was fairly neglectful compared to other lususes, and spent much of his time away from his charge, out at sea, though he warned Gamzee himself to stay away from the ocean, as it was dangerous. Due to his lusus’s frequent absences, Gamzee grew up fairly ignorant of a lot of the norms of troll culture. Perhaps because of this, or perhaps as a plea for attention, early on he started to eat spoor slime, a substance that most trolls sleep in that is usually considered inedible and in fact somewhat poisonous. It acted as a soporific on the young troll, and he got into the habit of ingesting it for those effects. Basically, he spent a good deal of his childhood stoned out of his gourd

It was at a fairly young age, around eight, that he first turned to mind-altering substances. He was trying to paint a model that his father had gotten him for Christmas, though he wasn’t particularly good at it, and he found that the fumes from the glue made him feel a little lightheaded. It was a nice feeling, he decided, and it made him forget about being angry or sad, at least for a little while. Over the next few years, he discovered quite a few more things that could induce the same feelings - paint thinner, propane, kerosene, hair spray, cooking spray, even petrol would work. The euphoria from them was nice, though sometimes the hallucinations could be frightening. But because he’d always been odd, no one suspected that he was doing inhalants - he’d been written off as mentally ill by his teachers some time ago. Personality: To start with, Eridan is extremely arrogant, believing himself to be right about everything (even when he isn't, and has no idea what the fuck he's talking about) and also believing that he's better than everyone (which, according to the caste system, he sort of is, at least in the context of being of a higher social status than almost everyone else.) He has an obsession with stories about historical leaders and conquests, which he attempts to emulate as best as he can, which only leads to him being more arrogant than he might have originally been. DESPITE ALL THAT, Eridan is in some ways a rather nice and caring person, albeit in his own self-centered way. Although he insists that he's going to wipe out all the Land Dwellers, he never actually does anything remotely useful towards achieving that goal, and he doesn't really seem to care that the device Vriska built for him wouldn't work. It's much more likely that those plans of his are really a charade, both for the purpose of making himself look like the ruthless and cunning leader he attempts to emulate, but also partially because his plans keep Feferi's attention on him. Despite their lower positions on the hemospectrum, he's friendly with Karkat and Kanaya, and although Gamzee's advice frustrates him he seems friendly with him as well. Part of his motivations for insisting on joining Jack Noir consisted of the hope that by doing so he would spare him and his friends once the whole thing was over, and he seems genuinely concerned and upset when he learns Sollux died. He spent the session more or less alone on his planet, hunting the angelic denizens and basically turning it into a death trap that nobody wanted to set foot on, leaving him completely alone until their final battle with the game's boss. Even then, after they had escaped from their ruined session and taken refuge on a meteor out in the middle of space, nobody wanted to have anything to do with him. Rose blew up his computer. Sollux, whom he wanted a rivalry with, refused to have anything to do with him. Kanaya made him a science wand purely as a joke. It turned out to be less of a joke when he went on a nihilistic killing spree, determined that as the Prince of Hope he was qualified to know when all hope was lost, and that their only hope was to join with Jack Noir. Feferi did not agree, and he was drawn into another duel with Sollux. With the power of the science wand, he managed to blind Sollux and then kill both Feferi and Kanaya as well as explode the matriorb, the key to resurrecting the troll species, before fleeing into the lab

Gryffindor: As bravery and daring goes, Eridan does not exactly lack these…but he doesn't exactly possess them, either. He's certainly bold about expressing his opinion, but that stems more from arrogance and his front of confidence that as a "noble" and a Pureblood he knows better than everyone else, but he is not likely to ever be the one leading the charge into a dangerous situation, especially if there's no benefit to him.

Hufflepuff: Patience is something Eridan does not exactly possess. He's quick-tempered and snappish, although he has a great aptitude for planning things out, he wants what he wants when he wants it. Jake English is a true, stand-up gent, one with unquestionable swagger and panache. He possesses the heart of a true adventurer; there is always a loaded gun and a critical eye on the look-out for sacred urns to topple and mystic ruins to desecrate for their Byzantine wares. While single, Jackie and Hyde remain on okay terms. Kelso says he wants to propose to Jackie, and Jackie at first considers, but when she realizes what a bad future they would have, she turns him down. They are both relieved, however, and Kelso moves to Chicago. Jackie then moves into his room in the apartment he and Fez shared.

Desperate and alone, Jackie makes a list of her perfect man, only to find out her perfect man is Fez. She tries to get together with him, but Fez turns her down, saying after all those times SHE turned HIM down, she only wants him now because she's desperate. At first, Jackie is devastated, but gets over it quickly, instead vowing revenge on Fez. After a few pranks and tricks, Fez pulls his own and dyes Jackie's hair green, claiming she is now ugly on the outside and the inside. Hurt, Jackie moves out, but learns through a friend of Fez's that Fez does love her and is sorry for what he did. They make up and end up together in the series finale.

How would your character fit in to each House?
Gryffindor: She has the qualities of a leader! Or so she thinks. I can't imagine anyone who would want to have her in charge. She's bossy enough, if bossiness = leadership. She is willing to stand up for herself in any situation, and tell you exactly how things are, even if she is the one in the wrong.

Hufflepuff: Loyalty is pretty important to Jackie, but only in the sense of relationships. She does not like being cheated on, and she won't take it. She also doesn't like working very hard. Sweat is not her friend.

Ravenclaw: She has a very active and creative imagination. She daydreams constantly about herself, her relationships, her future, her friends. And they're usually ridiculous and far-fetched.

Slytherin: She has her ambitions. In canon, her dream was always to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. When she got her own public access television show, she had dreams of being a hostess on a day time talk show. When she decides on something, she keeps pushing the idea.

Hufflepuff: Jon is a genuinely nice guy, though he's not always the most aware of how his actions will affect others, but once someone knocks some sense into him, he becomes a great friends and is loyal to those who need him.

Ravenclaw: Jon is extremely smart, though he prefers to show his intelligence in practical ways. He has a great eye for strategy and is a good problem solver.
