The Ruling Family
The king and queen have produced five children, three boys and two girls. Keep in mind that the king and queen will be in their late thirties to early forties at this point. One of the princes and princesses must be the two eldest children of the king and queen. The youngest child must be at least older than 14 or 15.

The Rising Family:
This family has serves the royal family loyally for many years up until recently. The patriarch of the family will be seen as the new king, if they are able to successful take the throne. He has two sons and only one daughter. He has yet to marry her off, waiting to find another family who will serve them and help them with their rebellion against the king. She is the eldest child of the family and has taken on her father's rebellious nature. But will that prove to be the downfall of any marriage he tries to arrange for her and stunt their movement towards royalty.

The Secret Organization:
A name has yet to be placed over this group of men and women who are taking matters into their own hand. Some say they secretly work for the king and are testing the loyalty of the common people to get them to rise up in arms to help push back the treasonous family. Not much is really known about them except that they are small in number and lead by a young man.

Palace Workers and Officials:
The royal council have served to keep the royal family safe and provide them with information of the sentiment of the common people. During the years of peace, however, many council members have become corrupt and only serve to put more coin in their pocket at the expense of the common people.

Servants and chambermaids are the personal work staff of the royal family. They take care of the palace and see to every need of the family. Chambermaids serve the queen and princesses personally while a servant will be assigned to one of the male royal family to answer to their beck and call.

These men are the king's personal bodyguards and they accompany him throughout the palace and when he leaves the palace to take care of official business else where. Each of these men would lay down their life without a second thought to protect the king but recent years of plenty have made them lazy and shadows of their former lethal selves.

Palace guards protect the palace and surrounding areas from outside threats. They are always vigilant and answer to the General for their orders. There have been recent rumors that one of the guards has been having an affair with a member of the royal family but there have been no concrete evidence to point out who it may be.

These are the women, and occasional men, who service the royal family's more exotic needs. They are typically slaves captured from past conquests or sent as gifts of well being from neighboring counties and kingdoms to keep sentiments high.

Chefs prepare meals for the royal family and come with a personal taste tester to ensure the food or drink has not been poisoned.

Physicians are the medical staff of the palace. They regularly send out their least experience doctors to treat the common people and check for signs of plague or illness that could effect the well being of the entire kingdom.

The state religion of the time is Neo-Confucianism and it is put upon the palace priests to ensure that the kingdom keeps to chosen religion. Those who do not as often put in prison or executed as blasphemers.

Messengers send out notes among the royal family to nobles or neighboring countries. Their job can be dangerous when carrying something of importance and they typically have a personal guard with them where ever they go.
