i dont specifically know of anything of the sort, but ill make a search of the net today, see if i cant help you out. most linux systems can only access ntfs drives, not edit them, so i dont know. maybe you could use a DOS boot disc to just access the filesystem, no?
thats another good question, is it formatted ntfs or fat32, you didnt specify.
oh, it's formatted to ntfs, that's why i need something that can write to it. i was thinking that i could use a dos disk maybe, but wouldn't that only be able to write fat32 also.
have you guys been learning much linux at all, im still trying to a self-tutoring thing on it, and trying to install an old version of debian linux on the ghetto sonic (166mhz, 36 megs of ram, 4gb primary hd, 600meg secondary hd) to turn it into a webserver since i lost mine in the reformat.
my main problem is the partitioning of the linux drives in the installation process, once i get past that, i can handle the rest of it, but i need the partitions done correctly for it all to work the way i wish it to.
well, if you know anything, hit me back, if not, thanks anyway.
hey babe... the journal is transparent now on my puter, but your font is really light... I can still read it though. Sorry bout your puter... I could kiss and make you _feel_ better... :)
yay for planning!
Reuben has been great today... I have been so lazy watching Little House on the Prairie(s/p) and crying and crying... Reuben got a napkin and wiped my tears away it was so cute. He has been playing like a maniac with his train set.

b/c it's the cruel irony. our computers want people to laugh at us. hell, us cis majors have it worse than cs majors b/c at least they teach you a little better the technical details. everyone expects cis majors to have all the answers when we are much further away than the cs majors...but most people don't know the diff.
Re: Why oh Why?modularsyntaxDecember 14 2004, 15:47:54 UTC
the difference is incredible. i actually had a cis major tell me that the computer science programs and the computer information systems programs were the same thing. i almost fell out.
i'm not saying one is harder than the other. it just depends on how your brain works. technical-cs, businesslike-cis

probably because i hacked a system file without really knowing what the results would be. it's a learning procedure i'm best at. see, now i know not to mess with certain files. at least, not as much as i messed them. but, i already figured out how to fix it. now, how many people can fix their computers when they mess them up?

Tell me that it sucked a whole lot when we were there so I won't have to be nostalgic. I hate nostalgia.

it was ok. i had fun there.
i wish i would have finished though.
there's plenty to be nostalgic about,
especially if you have pictures.

Now I wish I had finished.
Grrrr.

oops. just think of it this way. if you did finish
you wouldn't be where you are now (not saying where
you'd be).
i've thought that before. i like the way things turned out
for me. so i can't be tooo nostalgic about lsmsa.
