Longhorn does have some GPL code in it so the rumor mill has it.
But I seriously doubt it's unix-BASED because then Msoft'd have to crawfish about FUD.

it's funny because mac, solaris, freebsd, linux are all based on unix.
windows is the only one left. i wonder how long it will hold out?

I've always had trouble getting networking to work on linux when not using DHCP while the box was behind a router.

maybe it's some hardware conflicts or something. but dhcp doesn't work.
i really wish i knew more about this stuff. i've given up. i'm about to
format that drive back to fat32 and be done with it.

besides, i've been compiling all of my favorite open source software for
my windows box using mingw/msys. wee!
