Confidentially, she never called me baby-doll

[Yes, the subject's another quote from a They Might Be Giants songI forgot to mention one of the perks of my new job: I get to see a lot of confidential information, mostly names, addresses, and so forth. To be clear, I have no intention of doing anything illicit with these data, but I find it interesting to look at. One good way to pass the ( Read more... )

I also get to work with confidential information! However, my stuff shies away from celebrities, and is much more involved in the business world. I have gotten to look at some big CEOs, which is nice.

I think I was unclear. I haven't seen any information about actual celebrities; rather, I amuse myself by trying to find people with the same names as celebrities. At least I assume they're not actually famous; it would be odd if, say, a certain Hall of Fame quarterback was moonlighting as a plumber in Seattle.

Now that I think about it, I have no idea what you do for a living. Can I assume it's not the deli?

You can't assume anything. I actually still work the deli, only on Sundays. That way, when Enzo is ready to retire, I'll have him sell it to me at a discount, so I can open market it for at least another 10%.

I do research at Long Island University on alums so they can know how much money to ask from them. I basically get paid a paltry salary with fantastic benefits, with the huge plus of getting a masters for nothing. The selection is meager, however, regarding degree programs. I settled on 'Library and Information Sciences,' and will also probably pick up my Rare Collections certification. The actual goal is to get my masters, and possibly phD, then to jump to a bigger school, preferably in Boston, and make better money and maybe earn a fun masters. Like, lets say Archeology. Or that Norse Myth masters track everyone is always ranting about.

Interesting note: last guy I researched got kneed in the balls by Sharon Osborne. GIGGLE'D
