OK, we've all waited just about long enough. Just as a head's up, I'm abandoning the Monday-Wednesday-Friday update schedule; this time around, new posts will go up ever Sunday and Thursday. I'll have a bit more to say next time, for now I just want to get started.

Looking at these I am trying to determine right from the start what is going into my voting decisions. At first it seems that I give preference to comfort over hilarity. Luann, for example, is undoubtedly a funnier comic strip than Ziggy. Heck, it might be one of the funnier funnies running. On the other hand, Ziggy is just so homey.

But then I realized that, while this plays a part, in the end I like comics that are fun to look at over ones that are fun to read. For this round Ziggy (Sorry, Everett!,) Marmaduke, Shoe, The Phantom, and Barney Google all take wins for style.
