It's kind of embarrassing but I find it hard to grasp capturing them. I was hoping to hear what people's views of it are and how they go about catching them.
The way you capture Pokémon is by sending out your own and battling with it. You have to weaken it first. If your Pokémon have any moves that induce sleep or paralysis, use them, too. Once it's been weakened, you throw a Poké Ball at it and wait.
As for the ethics...well, of the 17 I own, I've caught nine. None of my Pokémon have been upset about being captured, though. If anything, it's been the opposite. I've been able to establish a bond with each of them, and through those bonds, they've become stronger. I feel like, in this world, humans and Pokémon reach their fullest potential when they're working with one another.
Oh goodness, that sounds fierce! There are a lot of Pidgey on Route 29 as well...Pidgey are also known to use sand as a defense mechanism, too. I hope it didn't cause that much of a problem for you.

It's right by the water, too.

I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful in answering your questions. I am new to this world, I haven't had much experience in it either.

...If it's not any trouble, of course.

...That actually sounds rather nice. If catching Pokemon was truly like that then I suppose I don't have a problem with it.

... I can't really help you on the catching pokémon though. I kinda caught the one I did catch on accident. The rest I got as eggs.

It's quite alright. I have a very similar issue. I don't know how exactly I feel about catching them.
[She shows the egg some more.]
In fact, I had just gotten a hold of this egg. It should hatch soon at any rate.

Too bad that Eevee does. He wants to fight all the time.

Oh, this will be an Eevee too when it hatches! I wonder if it will feel the same way.
